Instructions

General informations :
  • Always play this game with your pet.
  • You can feed your pet while playing, with e.g. fruit or sunflower seeds. This encourages him to play and motivates him to succeed in the exercises.
  • Select a place where the pet will feel comfortable playing and will not be disturbed by the environment. Try to avoid looking at him, which could slow him down.
  • To start, use a food that he particularly likes to motivate him.
  • Help your pet master the exercise so they stay motivated. It is important that your pet becomes successful quickly - especially at first - so that he associates play with a positive experience. • Put the toy away when play is over.

Important note: Small animals react very differently to new toys. Some are immediately very motivated and others need a little time to get used to Slide & Fun. At first, they will ignore the game, but will be very enthusiastic a little later. Other animals like to concentrate on a game for a long time while others prefer to play in small doses, but more frequently. Whatever their preference, let your pet play however they want.

The game can begin

Exercise with sliding lids:

  1. Place some treats in the cavities while your pet watches you and cover them halfway. So your pet can find the treats more quickly and succeed quickly.
  2. If your pet is having difficulty, you can help him by showing him how to move the slippery lids.

Exercise with flaps:

  1. To begin, proceed in the same way as with the sliding lids. Place treats in one of the cavities and leave the other open, and encourage your pet to touch the lever. Help him by giving a light tap on the lever when the animal touches it so that he gets his treat.
  2. When your pet can open one flap by itself, you can also use the second.
  3. When your pet has no problem opening the shutters, you can introduce the last element of the game.

Exercise with the lids:

  1. To start, do the exercise with just one item. Place a treat in the cavity and put the lid on it. Slide the lid to show your pet what's hidden underneath. Then the animal must try to remove the lid with its mouth or paws to obtain its reward.
  2. Repeat this exercise until the animal removes the lid without problems and gets its treat. Later you can increase the difficulty level by hiding treats in just a few cavities.

Remember: Small animals have short attention spans. They need frequent success to keep them busy for a longer period of time. To start, do small sessions with the Flip Board, short but frequent. Do not let your pet gnaw on the toy. This game brings your pet good experiences of success and you will share good times together.

Never leave your pet unattended while playing! This game is not suitable for children!
