Instructions

General informations :
  • Always play this game with your pet.
  • You can feed your pet while playing, with e.g. fruit or sunflower seeds. This encourages him to play and motivates him to succeed in the exercises.
  • Select a place where the pet will feel comfortable playing and will not be disturbed by the environment. Try to avoid looking at him, which could slow him down.
  • To start, use a food that he particularly likes to motivate him.
  • Help your pet master the exercise so they stay motivated. It is important that your pet becomes successful quickly - especially at first - so that he associates play with a positive experience. • Put the toy away when play is over.

Important note: Small animals react very differently to new toys. Some are very motivated right away and others need a little time to get used to the Snack Board. At first, they will ignore the game, but will be very enthusiastic to play it a little later. Other animals like to concentrate on a game for a long time while others prefer to play in small doses, but more frequently. Whatever their preference, let your pet play however they want.

The game can begin

Exercise with sliding lids
  1. Fill the cavities with treats while your pet sees you doing it and only cover them halfway. This way your pet can find the treats faster and succeeds faster.
  2. If your pet is having difficulty, you can help them to get started. Show your pet how to move the sliding lids.
  3. To increase the level of difficulty, cover the filled cavities more and more. Practice until your pet can move the sliding lids even when they completely cover the cavities.
  4. Once your pet understands this, you can add another element to the game.
Exercise with lid:
  1. Place a treat in the hollow and put the lid on it. Lift the lid to show your pet what's hidden underneath. Your pet must now try to remove the lid with its mouth or paws to get the reward.
  2. Repeat this exercise until your pet can remove the lid without problem and get the treat

Remember: Small animals have short attention spans. They need frequent success to keep them busy for a longer period of time. To start, do small sessions with the Flip Board, short but frequent. Do not let your pet gnaw on the toy. This game brings your pet good experiences of success and you will share good times together.

Never leave your pet unattended while playing! This game is not suitable for children!
