Instructions

General informations :
  • Always play this game with your pet.
  • You can feed your pet while playing, with e.g. fruit or sunflower seeds. This encourages him to play and motivates him to succeed in the exercises.
  • Select a place where the pet will feel comfortable playing and will not be disturbed by the environment. Try to avoid looking at him, which could slow him down.
  • To start, use a food that he particularly likes to motivate him.
  • Help your pet master the exercise so they stay motivated. It is important that your pet becomes successful quickly - especially at first - so that he associates play with a positive experience. • Put the toy away when play is over.

Important note: Small animals react very differently to new toys. Some are very motivated right away and others need a little time to get used to the Snack Board. At first, they will ignore the game, but will be very enthusiastic to play it a little later. Other animals like to concentrate on a game for a long time while others prefer to play in small doses, but more frequently. Whatever their preference, let your pet play however they want.

The game can begin

  1. Remove the lids and fill with treats while your pet watches you do so.
  2. Close the openings with the lids so your pet can open them.
  3. Help your pet at first, for example by only placing the food halfway under the lids, to maintain motivation. It's important that your pet succeeds quickly - especially at first - so that he associates play with a positive experience. Once your pet understands that it is a food game, he will quickly understand the task at hand.
  4. Now take a longer break to allow your pet to digest the experience.
  5. Help your pet again at the start of the next round if it hasn't succeeded after a few tries. Gradually reduce the help provided.
  6. With a little training, your pet can learn to lift the lids with their mouth or remove them with their paws to reach the food hidden underneath.

Remember: Small animals have short attention spans. They need frequent success to keep them busy for a longer period of time. To start, do small sessions with the Flip Board, short but frequent. Do not let your pet gnaw on the toy. This game brings your pet good experiences of success and you will share good times together.

Never leave your pet unattended while playing! This game is not suitable for children!
